This Writing Workshop was adapted by Kathryn Haas from an NSF-sponsored Chemistry Writing Workshop for Graduate Students at Duke University, originally developed by Dr. Cary Moskovitz and Dr. Katherine Franz

There are at least three structural components to written works; these are the things we will focus on during the first two days of this workshop.

    • Structure at the document level (overall structure) <--Day 2
    • Structure of the introduction <--Day 2
    • Structure at the sentence level <--Day 1

In addition to written words, scientists rely heavily on figures to provide evidence and visual aid to their arguments. We will focus on best practices in designing effective figures during day 3 of this workshop.

Week 10 and 11: Writing Workshop is shared under a not declared license and was authored, remixed, and/or curated by LibreTexts.
