Welcome to the Biology Division

This division oversees the biochemistry, plant life, and fish life aspects of the aquaponic system.

Group Objectives:

The biochemistry area of the vertical farming system's objective is to design the micro biome, also known as the bacterial ecosystem of the whole. In order to achieve this objective, we, as a team, take into consideration the requirements to carefully and efficiently grow these plants and fish. One way we're accomplishing our objective is by implementing a nitrification process to convert harmful ammonia into nitrate. Another way we upkeep our objective is by enforcing bio-security through researching organic methods for pest control. We must use biodegradable pesticides.
