CHEM 232 - Organic Chemistry II (Puenzo)
( \newcommand{\kernel}{\mathrm{null}\,}\)
CHEM 232 is an organic chemistry course that builds on the concepts learned in CHEM 231. It introduces the chemistry of aromatic compounds, aldehydes, ketones, carboxylic acids, carbohydrates, lipids, amino acids and proteins with emphasis on synthesis and reaction mechanisms. This text focuses on a more rigorous treatment of mechanisms, reactions and synthesis; structure determination using classical and spectroscopic techniques taught in Chem 231 including identification of unknown compounds and mixtures.
