Fresno City College’s Chemistry 106B (Environmental Chemistry) is a course designed for non-science majors that explores fundamental chemical principles and their applications to environmental issues. Topics include measurements, matter, atomic structure, chemical bonding, reactions, solutions, and organic chemistry, as well as the atmosphere and aquatic systems. The course also examines green chemistry, human impacts on the environment, environmental legislation, the greenhouse effect, and climate change, emphasizing the relationship between chemistry and environmental sustainability.
