    Reduction of Halides

    Alkyl halides can be reduced to alkanes through reaction with hydride reagents, most commonly \(\ce{LiAlH4}\)

    Hydride addition to epoxides

    The hydride attacks the less substituted side of the epoxide. The H and OH are anti to each other.
