The radio chip contains the Bluetooth and WiFi hardware and has a metal shield to reduce EMF interference
WiFi
- The WiFi is disabled until you set up a host country, which should have been done during your initial setup, but can be changed any time by
- pi icon/Preferences/Raspberry Pi Configuration/Localisation/Set WiFi Country

- Configuring WiFi Network
- The easiest way to configure the WiFi Network is through the desktop, by clicking the WiFi icon in the taskbar (upper right), choosing network and providing passwords. This can also be done through the command line and instructions are provided with the Raspberry Pi Configuring Networking Documentation.

WiFi Hotspot
Your Raspberry Pi can also be set up as a Hotspot. This can be useful if you do not have a WiFi router or are using your Pi as an Internet-in-a-box.
Bluetooth
The Raspberry Pi 4 comes with Bluetooth 5.0. The following tutorials provide information on Bluetooth and we will not be using it in this class.
