    Overview

    This is the same type of experiment your instructor streamed over the web during the first week of this lab and you will not have to do a titration curve.  The goal of this activity is to get you to think about how you are getting the acid dissociation equilibrium constant in the titration curve, and if you know the concentration of all reagents, you can figure it out with just one measurement.

     

    Assignment

    In this lab you need to make one simple measurement. You do not dilute the unknown or the stock base.  You need to take your unknown acid and add a specific amount of base to it, and from that one action, get all the data you need to calculate the equilibrium constant.

     

    Question 1: Write down the molarity and volumes of the stock solutions you mixed to calculate Ka.  Remember, you can only mix the stock solutions once.
