    There are two types of questions, autograded and instructor graded.  When you submit the autograded question it will tell you if you are right or wrong.  For the instructor graded questions you can change your answer up until 48 hours after the deadline, but will lose 25% per day late.  So for autograded the answer is immediately graded, for instructor graded the last answer is graded.

    Several of the questions in this lab use the ChemCollective Virtual lab developed by David Yaron at Carnegie Mellon University.  Before tackling any question involving the Virtual Lab You should skim the material and watch the video on the ChemCollective Virtual Lab (section 0.2.4).  Then you should watch the video below that contains hints germane to this specific lab, which can save you a lot of time.

    Virtual Lab

    In this virtual lab you will determine the solubility of an unknown compound at several different temperatures and then plot the solubility as a function of the temperature. You should do post lab questions \(\PageIndex{3}\) and \(\PageIndex{4}\) before doing this activity.  This is an instructor graded assignment, and the last submission will be graded, so you can resubmit your answer up until the deadline

     

    The following two virtual labs use the same virtual labs as you used in autograded questions \(\PageIndex{3}\) alnd \(\PageIndex{4}\) except this time you use an unknown from the stockroom.  Contact your instructor if you do not know your unknown.
