  • Gas chromatography (GC) is a common type of chromatography used in analytical chemistry for separating and analyzing compounds that can be vaporized without decomposition. https://chem.libretexts.org/Under_Co...otography_(GC)

    • 12.1: Gas Chromatography
In gas chromatography (GC) we inject the sample, which may be a gas or a liquid, into an gaseous mobile phase (often called the carrier gas). The mobile phase carries the sample through a packed or a capillary column that separates the sample’s components based on their ability to partition between the mobile phase and the stationary phase.  Largely as it appears in Harvey's analytical chemisty with a small number of additions
    • 12.2: Advances in GC
At this time only multidimensional GC.
    • 12.3: Problems
End-of-chapter problems to test your understanding of topics covered in this chapter.
