This textbook is designed for a one-quarter survey of general chemistry for students pursuing careers in allied health and related fields. It introduces the fundamental principles of general chemistry, including measurement and problem solving, atomic structure and the periodic table, chemical bonding, chemical reactions, stoichiometry, gases, solutions, and acids and bases. The text emphasizes a practical understanding of chemistry and provides students with the foundation needed for further study in organic and biological chemistry.
