🎯 Purpose: Tell them why this assignment is important. For example: "This pre-meeting assignment is designed to help you arrive to the meeting prepared to engage in thoughtful discussion and to conduct the experimental work."
📝 How will this be graded: Tell students how their work will be assessed. For example "These will be graded on correctness using a 10-point system." or "This will be graded using a grading rubric. (provide link to grading rubric)"
Do you like that horizontal line, above? You can add a horizontal line using the Elements menu from the top of this editor window: choose Elements > Insert horizontal line.
Provide emphasis for tasks that students should do by placing the pre-lab questions in a "Box", like the ones below. The first Box below was created using the Boxes menu shortcut, which is in the light blue editor menu, above. You can also add boxes using the Elements menu (all the items in the Boxes shortcut are really just Templates in Elements > Templates ).
The Questions box below was created using a "Notes" box, then changing the title of the box from "Notes" to "Pre-Experiment Questions".

You can also add questions with hints or answers provided with hidden text. The Box below is an "Exercise" box, with its title changed to "Pre-Lab Question". Know that the hidden texts features only works on a page that has the type "page or section" (like this specific page we're on here - this is a page setting). The hidden text feature does not work on the higher-level "chapter" or "book" types of pages.
