Coenzyme A
Coenzyme A (CoA) is a central compound in metabolism. It is a derivative of Pantothenic acid (vitamin B5) and a component of coenzyme A (CoA).The main functions of CoA is the activation and transfer of acyl groups. This function involves the reactive sulfhydryl group through the formation of thioester linkages with acyl groups.
