    This project was preformed to supply Libretext Authors with videos on General Chemistry topics which can be used to enhance their projects.  Also, these videos are meant to act as a learning resource for all General Chemistry students.

    Video Topics

    G and Ecell are related by the equation:  G° = -NFE°cell

    G° = Gibbs free energy in J/mol

    N = number of electrons transferred in the reaction

    F = Faraday constant = 96,485 C/mol e-

    E°cell = Volt

    Remember (V)(C) = J

    Positive E°cell → Negative G° → Spontaneous

    Negative E°cell → Positive G° → Non-Spontaneous

    The video contains an example problem where G° for a reaction is calculation from a given E°cell.
