Symmetrical Alkyne

A symmetrical alkyne is an alkyne in whose molecule the triply bonded carbon atoms bear the same ligands.

eg:

In an organic molecule, a carbon-carbon triple bond of which the carbon atoms bear the same ligands is called a symmetrical triple bond.
