Essential Amino Acid

An essential amino acid is a standard amino acid the body of a given organism can not synthesize at all or can not synthesize in sufficient amounts and, therefore, must obtain from food. The essential amino acids in humans are histidine, isoleucine, leucine, lysine, methionine, phenylalanine, threonine, tryptophan, and valine.
