Now that you’ve revised your writing to ensure that the language is appropriate and professional, let’s look at that language again to see if it’s engaging and interesting. One really powerful way to make your writing more colorful is to include figurative language. Sometimes even just one well-placed simile or metaphor can raise the level of the entire text.
