Arachnids are the largest group of chelicerates, and are the spiders and their relatives. There are three major groups of chelicerates:
- horseshoe crabs
- sea spiders
- arachnids
Chelicerate features:
- no antennae
- four pairs of legs
- one pair of chelicerae
Arachnids also include mites, ticks, chiggers and scorpions.
