Container Boxes with Headings

Content in Container Boxes

Container boxes are designated boxes for separating content from the primary content of the page. LibreTexts has 9 canoncical container boxes which are:

  • Definition
  • Example
  • Exercise
  • Interactive Element
  • Note
  • Learning Objective
  • Query
  • Theorem
  • Caution

LibreTexts reserves heading level 5 for the box title. Each box title should be a heading level 5. In addition, LibreTexts reserves heading level 6 for intrabox headings. Headings level 5 and headings level 6 should not be used outside of boxes for container boxes.
