A photon which has a wave length of 0.875nm strikes a surface. The emitted electron has a kinteic energy of 900eV. Calculate the binging energy of the electron in kJ/mol.

    Solution:

First we must change our value in units of eV to jules using the conversion 1eV=1.602x10-19J

This gives us a value of 1.4418x10-16J
