1.21A What Works in Job Hunting?Your first step in this session is to discuss with your classmates what it takes to write a really great resume and cover letter. Answer at least two of these questions as you consider what makes a good resume and cover letter: <ul> <li>How much time do you think employers spend looking at a single resume? </li> <li>What kinds of resumes will get the most attention?</li> <li>What are the essential parts of a resume?</li> <li>What kinds of mistakes should you be sure to avoid in your application writing? (For inspiration, check out the Resume Failures article attached here!)</li> <li>What is a cover letter anyway? Do you really need one?</li> <li>What do you do if you have absolutely no experience and nothing to write on a resume?</li> </ul> Respond to at least two peers in this discussion with an example of the concept, life experience, or question to further the discussion.
