Once you have written your informative essay (and hopefully allowed it to rest for a day), use the district "information writing rubric" attached below to review your work. Not one of us is a perfect writer, so there are always areas where you can improve.
Rate your essay on this rubric, and take note of your writing strengths and weaknesses. Share that observation with me in a brief response on the next page. Keep this assessment in mind as you begin working on informative writing this semester.
