Your essay should be in response to the following prompt: After reading Margaret Chase Smith’s “Remarks to the Senate in Support of a Declaration of Conscience” in 1950, write an extended (over two days), multi-paragraph response that addresses how the author uses style, word choice, and tone to persuade her audience. Support your response with evidence from the text. Again, I have attached "Remarks to the Senate in Support of a Declaration of Conscience" as well as the rubric for class just in case you need it but they were also in the previous lesson. |
