How many varieties did each trait have? You should remember that he studied: pea shape, pea color, pod shape, pod color, plant height, flower color and flower position. And that each trait he studied only had two possible variations (example it was either smooth or wrinkled). Now look at the people in this photo, in particular look at their hair color. Do you think hair color is an either or trait? Why or why not? Explain how you think all of these varieties come about.
