- Know the components of an FT-NMR instrument.
- Be able to describe why we need a frequency lock system, shims, and sample spinning.
- Understand and be able to explain the RF source used for excitation.
- Know why we do not need a Michelson interferometer to perform FT-NMR but we do need one for FT-IR.
