LibreTexts has five levels of UserIDs, and each allows different levels of access to the system. No user ID is required to browse or read, however, if students  or others register as Community Members, they can make suggestions and rate the pages. Instructors start with what the MindTouch System calls Viewer access. This allows unlimited access for editing and creation to personal Sandboxes as well as OER they create in Course Shells. Author and Editor levels are reserved for creators and curators in the Bookshelve area. Administrators are handy to get to know as they can help you to recover from all disasters (well almost all).

    Comment

If you are signed in, there is a line at the bottom of every page asking whether you thought it helpful or have a comment

Was this article helpful? Yes No Leave Comment

This feedback is available to editors and curators. If you wish them to get in contact with you, leave your Email address.

    Notification of Page Changes

At the top of every page there is a star in the middle under the title at the top. Selecting this brings up a menu which will notify you by Email if there are any changes to the page, or subpage. This is particularly useful for Instructors who are using material written or curated by others.

While the LibreTexts team has a curation sub-team that takes care of the content in the library (in coordination with contributing authors), community curation is a key aspect in keeping our content "living" rather than stagnating (e.g., in a dead format). There are three aspects : Watching pages, Rating Page, and providing Feedback on Pages.
