This course is an introduction into important principles of chemistry and their application into relevant areas ofengineering. The course is divided into three parts:bonding and matter; thermodynamics and kinetics; and electrochemistry. The topics covered in this course have been carefully chosen for their relevance to engineering. For example, polymer properties and synthesis are pertinent to Materials, Mechanical, and Civil engineers; kinetics and thermodynamics are important in the design of reactors by Chemical and or Biological Engineers.
