Social Thinking:What do you think about that?Thinking is easy, acting difficult, and to put one’s thoughts into actions, the most difficult thing in the world. It is easy to think. We do it every day. Let’s think about this (see you are about to think): “I think I should call my grandmother. It has been a while since we have spoken.” You think about calling her. Now, you head off for your day. You attend class, study for a quiz, maybe go to your part-time job, talk to your girlfriend or boyfriend, and head to sleep. Oops, you forgot to call your grandmother. Behaving, or carrying out the behavior, is a difficult thing to do. Why do we have difficultly acting upon a thought? In this lesson we will explore some of the reasons why we have difficulty acting on a thought. |
