    As you have learned in this module, the 1920s was an exciting time in American history. This period was a time of great political, social, and cultural change. In this lesson, you will learn about some key individuals of the era known as "The Jazz Age" or "The Roaring Twenties." These people come from all walks of life and many different parts of society-be prepared to meet some colorful characters!

     

    Your Assignment

    Part 1: In the chart provided, you will see famous figures of the 1920s in the left hand column. Visit Biography Search from the Biography Channel and complete a profile for each of the 12 persons listed in the chart. Be sure to include the following information:

    1. One or two sentences briefly explaining who the person was.
    2. His or her contribution to society, reason for fame and/or notoriety, etc.
    3. Key places and/or events associated with this person.
    4. One unusual or interesting fact about his or her life.
