    Session 3 Discussion

Your next step for this week is to participate in your group’s discussion board.  Scroll through the next few pages by clicking "next" and find your novel discussion board. You should have at least 3 posts this week.  I want your discussion postings this week to answer ONE of these two questions:

Option 1:Many science fiction novels are a warning of what may happen if society continues on its current path.  What is your author warning us about?  Have any of his or her predictions come true?

Option 2:Science fiction novels often focus on one of two themes: fear or conformity.  In what ways is your novel a commentary on either one of those topics?  What could your author be saying about fear as a motivating factor for people?  What could your author be saying about the dangers of conformity?

Be sure you are participating often and asking thoughtful questions!
