    In social class theory, sometimes called Marxist theory, the core issues of a text are how the characters negotiate power and money, who has it and who doesn't, and how those distinctions impact the story.

    On the left is a Wordle about social class.  Look through the words and think about how social class impacts our world today.  How do money and power impact the way people relate and how our world functions?  

    Then take a moment to read the information about Marxist Criticism below and watch the video below explaining social class theory. Be prepared to discuss it next!
