In all types of writing, but application writing in particular, concision and clarity remain desirable. Potential employers want to read your resume and cover letter quickly while also getting a feeling for what you bring to the table. In session three, you'll have the opportunity to revise your draft to say more with less -- that is, to add detail while using your word limitation more powerfully.
