Directions: Select 3 news articles from 3 DIFFERENT news sources. For example, you could select one from the Wall Street Journal, NPR, and the New York Times.

Examine each article for bias. As you examine for bias some questions to keep in mind are:

    • What is the author's political point of view?
    • What does the author stand to gain?
    • Who is paying for the website?
    • Does the author present alternate points of view?
      • If so, are those views presented objectively, or with scorn?

Then in a document I would like you to discuss the bias you find in a paragraph for each article. Use the PEA method in your discussion. That means if you say an article has a certain bias, then you need to support it with evidence and analysis.

You should have at least 3 paragraphs in total. Please submit your work in MLA format (heading, double spaced, 12 point font).
