In a Word document or Powerpoint presentation, give a definition for the rhetorical devices in the table AND provide your own example.

You may want to take a look at A Handbook of Rhetorical Devices again to help you with the assignment. However, there are 4 devices that are not in the handbook: irony, imagery, figurative language, and paradox. You should do a little research on these to find their definition.

You will be graded on the following:

    • A proper definition for each device
    • A correct example for each device
    • Proper spelling and grammar
    alliteration antithesis paradox metonymy
    allusion imagery zeugma synecdoche
    anaphora irony chiasmus
    parallelism figurative language apostrophe
