    The body paragraphs are the "meat" of your essay. They contain the evidence to support the point you are trying to make.

    An important element that the video does not cover is transitions. Transitions help organize your paper and keep your thoughts flowing. They are used within paragraphs and between paragraphs. Please click through the slide below to go over transitions.

     

    It is now time for you to write your body paragraphs for your essay. Write the body paragraphs for your essay and submit them to the dropbox here.

    Use the rubric! Remember your body paragraphs should support the thesis you created in your introduction and address the prompt:

    After reading a variety of short stories through the quarter, choose one and write an essay that analyzes and evaluates how specific literary devices (that means elements and techniques) affect meaning. Be sure to support your position with evidence from the text.
