Technical Words are ones that are specific to their subject. For example, a scientist might ask for sodium chloride when everyone else would just ask for salt. Let's consider another example: An English teacher might ask what the theme of a reading or even a movie was, while others would just ask what the big idea of the reading or movie was. We can often come across technical language when we are researching something or reading an academic article. As such, technical words are often the ones with which we struggle.
