16.1 Volcano Alert
The United States Geologic Survey has aprogramin place to alert the public of possible volcanic eruptions. Theirnotification systemis available to concerned residents. Would you sign up to receive these kinds of notifications? Would false alarms cause you to panic or eventually lose interest? Would you rather not know?

After your initial post, return to this discussion board and respond to at least two of your classmates. Your goal is to keep the conversation going by asking questions, correcting misconceptions and sharing additional resources.
