🕒 Time: Plan at least two hours to complete this assignment. If you run into technical challenges, this will take additional time.
🎯 Purpose: This pre-meeting assignment is designed to help you arrive to our first meeting prepared to complete course-specific MatLab training.
To prepare for the laboratory session on MatLab, please do the following prior to the laboratory period:
- Download and install MatLab on your personal laptop computer (see get access section).*
- During MatLab Installation, select all of the following additional "Toolboxes":
- Statistics and Machine Learning Toolbox
- Curve Fitting Toolbox
- Symbolic Math Toolbox
- During MatLab Installation, select all of the following additional "Toolboxes":
- Download the custom scripts and binary files (Get Scripts Here), and put these files in the default MatLab directory on your computer.
- Learn the basics: Proceed through the first two Matlab Getting Started tutorials that are provided when you open the software (Desktop Basics and Matrices and Arrays).
- Complete the Pre-Lab quiz on Canvas.
- Bring your computer, with MatLab installed, to the lab meeting.
- This ession is a "Dry Lab": We will meet in a classroom, thus lab attire is not necessary for this session.
*It is recommended that you install MatLab on your own computer, but there are other way to access MatLab if necessary (get access).
