    Pre-Meeting Assignment (Week 1)

📅 Due: Tell your students when this is due (before their lab meeting, at a certain time?).

🎯 Purpose: Tell them why this assignment is important. For example: "This pre-meeting assignment is designed to help you arrive to the meeting prepared to engage in thoughtful discussion and to conduct the experimental work."

Do you like that horizontal line, above? You can add a horizontal line using the Elements menu from the top of this editor window: choose Elements > Insert horizontal line.

Provide emphasis for tasks that students should do by placing the pre-lab questions in a "Box", like the ones below. The first Box below was created using the Boxes menu shortcut, which is in the light blue editor menu, above. You can also add boxes using the Elements menu (all the items in the Boxes shortcut are really just Templates in Elements > Templates ).

The Questions box below was created using a "Notes" box, then changing the title of the box from "Notes" to "Pre-Experiment Questions".

    Pre-Experiment Questions

The ideal gas law is easy to remember and apply in solving problems, as long as you get the proper values a

You can also add questions with hints or answers provided with hidden text. The Box below is an "Exercise" box, with its title changed to "Pre-Lab Question". Know that the hidden texts features only works on a page that has the type "page or section" (like this specific page we're on here - this is a page setting). The hidden text feature does not work on the higher-level "chapter" or "book" types of pages.

    Pre-Lab Question \(\PageIndex{1}\)

    Add exercises text here.

    Answer

Add texts here. Do not delete this text first.

    Pre-Lab Question \(\PageIndex{2}\)

    Add exercises text here.

    Answer

Add texts here. Do not delete this text first.

You can get fancy with the hidden text if you know html - feel free to ask for help during the CLC if you would like to combine multiple questions in one box, like the example below. (Or, feel free to copy/pase the stuff below into your own page)

An example of multiple questions with hidden text in the same box:

Dry Lab Group Discussion (Week 1)

If you course has a time for a group discussion, describe briefly what they will do during the discussion period here.

    Instructions

    Goals

    Discussion Prompts

    Wet Lab Agenda (Week 1)

Give the procedure or protocol, if appropriate. Otherwise, share the agenda or goals for this laboratory time.

    Post-Meeting Assignments (Week 1)

📅 Due: Tell your students when this is due (before their next lab meeting, at a certain time?).

🎯 Purpose: Tell them why this assignment is important. For example: "This post-meeting assignment is designed to help you reflect on the work you did and to take the time solidify learning."

    Describe the Post-Meeting assessements here.
