Somos quienes somos

In this first week, we are getting to know the course and each other. Through the semester, we will be learning about and discussing people's stories - their histories - and it's important that we start with ourselves. Who are we? What do we share and what differences can we celebrate? What are the "cultures" that we bring to the table?

This week's learning outcomes are:

Communicative outcomes

• Understand syllables and apply accent rules
• Introduce yourself and share biographical information
• Identify language learning strategies and build language awareness

Structural outcomes

• Practice using accent marks
• Demonstrate awareness of different verb tenses
