Ahora vamos a usar la misma receta y los mismos verbos para practicar la VOZ PASIVA.

The SE- construction of passive voice is often used for something like instructions. If you remember from last week, what's important in passive voice is not who is doing the action, but what is being affected by the action. In a recipe, the important part is that the chicken gets cut, the salt gets added, etc. I don't really need to say who is doing it. This is a great use for passive voice.

The document below is a copy of the instructions from the Arroz chaufa recipe. All of the verbs are highlighted. Practice changing these to passive voice using the SE- construction. Here is what the first instruction would look like:

Se corta el pollo en cubos de aproximadamente 1/2 pulgada. Se sazona con sal y pimienta y se reservaSe corta el cerdo en cubos y se separa.
