Society has a large influence on intelligence. While Americans place a large value upon academic skills, some other countries do not. Other cultures may focus more upon other factors such as the ability to get along with others or the ability to be socially efficient. As we look at the nature side of intelligence, we are faced with the question—is intelligence inherited? Most evidence does point to the fact that genetics do play an important part in basic intellectual potential. About 50% of our intelligence is inherited which leaves the remaining 50% from our environment.

If you were given the choice, how intelligent would you be? Would you be of superior intelligence or genius level?
