<p><span style="font-size: 14px;"><strong>Literary Devices</strong> are the ways or structure in which authors convey their message. As we continue our journey, looking at conflict, we must also look at Literary Elements. Literary Elements are the first part of Literary Devices.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 14px;">"Literary Elements have an inherent existence in literary piece and are extensively employed by writers to develop a literary piece e.g. plot, setting, narrative structure, characters, mood, theme, moral etc. Writers simply cannot create his desired work without including Literary Elements in a thoroughly professional manner" (Literary Devices 2013).</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 14px;">We have already talked a little bit about some of these without knowing it. In Week 2 you looked at plot structure. Plot is a literary element. You also looked at conflict in a story, and that is a literary element as well.</span></p>
