Now that we have learned about perspective and language used in context to convey purpose and perspective, we'll deepen our study through critically reading various texts.

By the end of this week, you will:

• apply and adjust strategies to determine the figurative, connotative, and technical meanings of words and phrases in context
• compare and contrast perspectives on gaining power by analyzing primary sources
