You have learned about the birth and death of stars. Remember that the star life cycle can be thought of like a human life cycle.
For this project, your task is to write a digital life story of a star. You may choose a low mass or high mass star. You will need the content in nest week's session to complete your story. Last week, you did the following:
1. Choose a low or high mass star. Give him or her a name.
2. Begin writing out some characteristics of your star such as temperature, color, mass, brightness, location on the HR Diagram, OBAFGKM classification and perhaps it's location in the universe.
3. Choose a digital tool in which to write your story. Create a free account and play around with the tool so that you are familiar with how it works. Some options include Storybird, Zooburst or Comic Master.
To finish up this project:
4. Use the characteristics of your star to write a story. Start with the star's birth as a protostar (oh look! so cute!...) to the final death throws. Examples of human life stages might include:
Conception
Funeral home
Getting a new job
Fetus
First ultrasound
Eating solid food
Graduation from high school
Birth of children
Taking the first step
Retirement
Birthday
5. Use the digital tool to present your story. Include a picture of the HR Diagram with your star's location labeled clearly.
6. Grab the public/share link and paste into the dropbox on this page.
