10.01 Levels of Organization Analogy<p><img src="$IMS-CC-FILEBASE$../resources/levels-of-organization_57603ce69d72f.jpg" style="line-height: 1.4; float: right; margin: 10px;" id="" title="" /><span style="font-size: 16px;">Focusing on the 5 levels of organization in the human body (cells, tissue, organ, organ system, organism) build an analogy to represent the levels of organization.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 16px;">Here's an example (you may not use this as your analogy!)</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 16px;">In a multi-level house</span></p>
<ul>
<li><span style="font-size: 16px; line-height: 22.4px;">bricks - represent the cells - specialized cells</span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: 16px; line-height: 22.4px;">walls of bricks - represent tissue - specialized cells working together</span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: 16px; line-height: 22.4px;">rooms - represent the organs</span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: 16px; line-height: 22.4px;">the levels (floors in the house) - represent the systems</span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: 16px; line-height: 22.4px;">the house - represents the organism</span></li>
</ul>
<p><span style="font-size: 16px; line-height: 22.4px;">Be imaginative with your analogy - but be sure to explain the relationships to us.</span></p>
