Learning Objectives

In Week 6, you looked at some social changes that people are engaging with now. In Week 7, you debated a big social change that is occuring globally right now as well. This week, you are going to look at some social changes that have occured in the past and then use what you find out to develop a claim on when social change benefits society and when it does not.

By the end of this week, you will:

• examine examples of social change from the past
• apply knowledge to writing, developing your claim with substantial evidence
• review MLA format for in-text citations and Works Cited pages
• brainstorm and plan your essay
• post to blog
